Punjab Police carried out a major heroin seizure in the state. The Counter Intelligence (CI) wing caught two men with 5.15 kg heroin and ₹29.16 lakh in drug money. Acting on a tip-off, SSP Bhupinder Singh led the operation and arrested Sajan from Basti Aawa and Resham alias Vishal from Naurang ke Leli village. Police booked them under the NDPS Act.
The probe found that the accused had links with Pakistani smuggler Utshah Pathan. They had received heroin consignments from him earlier. The police are now tracing others involved in the network.
