Punjab Commissions Seek Justice

The Punjab commissions seek justice as top officials reached Jalandhar City on Wednesday to support the family of the young girl who was harmed. The Punjab commissions seek justice visit focused on compassion, accountability and fast legal action.

Commission heads Raj Lali Gill and Kanwardeep Singh met the grieving family and offered deep condolences. They acknowledged the family’s unbearable loss and assured them that the Punjab Government stands firmly with them during this painful time.

They told the parents that the accused will face strict legal action. They also urged authorities to move the case to a fast-track court so the family receives timely justice. Both officials said they will push the matter at the highest level and demand the earliest possible conviction.

Gill and Singh updated the family on the investigation. Police secured nine days of remand for the accused, while forensic teams collected important evidence to strengthen the case. They stressed that any lapse by officials will lead to action.

Later, they met Police Commissioner Dhanpreet Kaur and reviewed the progress of the police action. They again highlighted the need for a transparent, swift investigation and a fast-track trial.

Deputy Director Gulbahar Singh Toor, DPO Manninder Singh, and DCPO Ajay Bharti were also present.
