Puri tourism season prep is in full swing as the city prepares to welcome lakhs of visitors. Puri tourism season prep happens every year before December–January, but this time the excitement is much higher. Hotels, the iconic Blue Flag Beach, and major tourist zones have started major upgrades to ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit for both domestic and international travellers.
Hotel owners say bookings from foreign tourists have increased this year. They urged officials to improve city cleanliness, maintain beach hygiene, and streamline darshan arrangements at the Lord Jagannath Temple. Tourism operators also pushed for better facilities at Satapada and more dolphin-based attractions for visitors.
The famous Blue Flag Beach has kept its prestigious certification for 2025–26. This marks the seventh straight year of international recognition. The beach will offer clean bathing zones, adventure activities, changing rooms, safe drinking water, modern toilets, cafés, and food kiosks. It also runs its own waste-treatment system for eco-friendly upkeep.
Blue Flag Beach manager Rakesh Dash said the team monitors every facility daily to maintain global standards.
Puri now looks fully prepared for a vibrant and busy tourism season.
