Putin & Kim Hold Bilateral Talks in Beijing Amid Trump’s Criticism of Xi

Trump India Trade Relationship Criticism and Tariff Dispute

Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un held bilateral talks in Beijing after attending a major military parade. The event marked the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II and took place at the Diaoyutai state guesthouse. Both leaders traveled together from the formal reception to the talks, signaling their close ties.

During the meeting, Putin praised North Korean soldiers for their bravery. He highlighted their role in fighting alongside Russian troops to resist a Ukrainian incursion into the Kursk border region. The talks are seen as part of ongoing cooperation between Russia and North Korea.

Meanwhile, in Washington, former U.S. President Donald Trump sharply criticized Chinese President Xi Jinping for hosting Putin and Kim. In a strongly worded post on Truth Social, Trump accused them of conspiring against the United States. He also questioned whether China would recognize the sacrifices of American soldiers who helped liberate the country during World War II.

This episode has further intensified global political tensions. While Putin and Kim hold bilateral talks, Trump’s remarks underline growing U.S. concerns about China’s alignment with Russia and North Korea.
