Rabies Injection Mistake Patient Went for Cough Treatment

Rabies Injection Mistake in Bihar hospital

A Rabies Injection Mistake in a Bihar hospital has raised serious concerns about patient safety. A man visited Sangrampur CHC with a cough and chest pain, but he reportedly received a dog-bite (rabies) injection instead. This shocking rabies injection mistake exposed major negligence inside the hospital.

According to officials, the slip mentioned Dr. Pankaj Kumar as the attending doctor, but he never examined the patient. A Class IV employee is suspected to have given the injection, while another doctor may have written the prescription. The Civil Surgeon questioned all staff members to understand how the mistake happened.

The medical officer, Pankaj Kumar, claimed there was a conspiracy against him. He said some employees planned this to hide their own mistakes. The CHC is already facing several issues, including illegal clinics and testing centres operating nearby. Authorities have promised strict action and upcoming raids to ensure such incidents do not happen again.
