During the Bihar elections, emotions ran high within one of the state’s most prominent political families. Former Chief Minister Rabri Devi shared heartfelt words as her maternal instincts were awakened on the day of the first phase of voting. Before casting her vote in Patna, she wished both her sons, Tej Pratap Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav, all the best.
Rabri Devi said that Tej Pratap was “fighting on his own feet,” showing pride in his independent journey. Her statement reflected a mother’s love above politics. Despite differences within the Yadav family—after Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap from the party—Rabri Devi maintained warmth and balance, wishing both sons equal success.
Speaking to reporters, she urged the people of Bihar to cast their votes responsibly and understand their rights. She appealed to women, youth, and the elderly to participate in democracy. Meanwhile, Tej Pratap’s sister Misa Bharti also extended her support, saying her best wishes were always with her brother.
This emotional moment highlighted how family ties stand strong even amid political rivalry.
