And ever since I saw this news that children there are being served mid-day meals on newspapers, my heart is broken.” He called out both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister for the incident, stating that they “should be ashamed” for allowing such conditions in schools. The Congress leader highlighted that mid-day meals are meant to ensure proper nutrition and dignity for children, and such practices reflect severe lapses in administration and monitoring. The Madhya Pradesh government has not yet responded to Gandhi’s allegations.
