In a shocking case of brutality, a 15-day-old baby was discovered abandoned in Rajasthan with a stone stuffed inside its sealed mouth. The horrifying incident came to light when locals spotted the infant lying unattended and immediately alerted the authorities.
According to police, the baby was found in a deserted area and was struggling to breathe when rescued. Locals reported hearing faint cries, prompting them to search the spot where the newborn was hidden. Shockingly, a stone had been forced into the baby’s mouth and sealed, apparently to prevent the infant from making noise.
The child was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors removed the stone and provided urgent medical care. The baby is now under observation and is reported to be stable.
Police have launched an investigation to trace those responsible for this act of cruelty. Preliminary inquiries suggest the child may have been abandoned due to family or societal pressures, though authorities have not ruled out other motives.
Child rights activists have condemned the incident, calling it a grave violation of human rights and demanding strict action against the perpetrators. The Rajasthan State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also sought a detailed report from the local administration.
Officials have urged the public to share any information that might help identify the baby’s parents or those involved in the abandonment.
