Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has given a major gift to the state’s farming community by announcing an increase in the CM Kisan Samman Nidhi amount. At present, farmers in Rajasthan receive a total of ₹9,000 per year—₹6,000 from the Central Government under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and ₹3,000 from the state government. This amount is provided in three installments annually.
The Chief Minister has now announced that the state government plans to increase its contribution from ₹3,000 to ₹6,000 per year. After the revision, farmers will receive a total benefit of ₹12,000 annually in three installments. However, the government has not yet announced the date from which the enhanced amount will be applied.
During a programme in Sri Ganganagar, CM Bhajanlal Sharma said that the government has already raised the state’s share to ₹9,000 earlier, and now the target is to gradually increase it to ₹12,000.
The Chief Minister further added that more than 76 lakh farmers in Rajasthan have already received over ₹10,000 crore directly in their bank accounts under the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.
