Rajasthan CS Challenger Cup highlighted fitness and sportsmanship as Chief Secretary V. Srinivas showcased his badminton skills in Jaipur. The annual state-level tournament aims to promote physical and mental fitness among government officers and employees.
The event took place at the SMS Stadium indoor badminton court. V. Srinivas participated in a friendly match with Additional Chief Secretary Praveen Gupta. He served the shuttle confidently and impressed officials present at the venue with his court skills.
Addressing participants, the Chief Secretary stressed the importance of fitness in public service. He said healthy officers perform better and manage responsibilities more effectively. He encouraged regular sports activities to stay physically strong and mentally sharp.
Administrative officers from different districts and departments attended the tournament. Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan and Jaipur Collector Jitendra Soni were also present. Naveen Mahajan, a noted tennis player, has won the CS Challenger Cup tennis title several times in previous years.
The CS Challenger Cup is organised under the Department of Personnel. The state has hosted the civil services tennis tournament since 2012 and the badminton tournament since 2016. Officers from IAS, IPS, IFS, RAS, RPS, medical, engineering, education, accounts, and tax services participate every year.
The tournament continues to strengthen teamwork, discipline, and a healthy work culture in Rajasthan’s administration.
