A Rajasthan-based fashion designer has accused Madhya Pradesh Police CID AIG Rajesh Mishra of cheating her of ₹30.59 lakh and has now sent a legal notice to DGP Kailasha Makwana. The complainant stated that despite submitting digital evidence including chats, emails, and payment documents, no FIR has been registered so far.

According to the designer, she was issued a notice on 18 November and called to the police headquarters for a statement on 21 November. However, she alleged that weeks have passed without action, claiming some senior officials are deliberately delaying the case and shielding the AIG. She further alleged that attempts were made to pressure her into a settlement under the guise of investigation.

The legal notice warns that if an FIR is not registered within 15 days and a fair inquiry is not initiated, she will approach the court. The complainant said that in September, AIG Mishra asked her to book a hotel in Jaipur for his daughter’s birthday celebration. She paid ₹98,000 for two rooms. During the visit, Mishra’s wife allegedly took jewellery worth ₹26 lakh and a designer dress worth ₹3 lakh, both paid for by the designer. After promising repayment, Mishra allegedly blocked her number once he left Jaipur.
