The Rajasthan government will launch a major crackdown on illegal mining from December 29. The campaign will cover 20 districts across the Aravalli mountain range. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has issued strict instructions for the operation.

The Mines Department headquarters in Udaipur will monitor the entire drive. Senior officials will conduct regular reviews to ensure strong enforcement. Authorities have identified sensitive hotspots where illegal mining has caused serious damage. Teams will seize machinery and take strict action against violators. The government has warned that it will not tolerate any negligence.

The campaign will continue until January 15, 2026. It will target illegal mining, transportation, and storage activities. The state aims to create fear among mining mafias through firm action. Officials will also publicise enforcement actions through the media to send a strong deterrent message.

District collectors will lead joint operations in their respective areas. Special Investigation Team meetings will take place under their supervision. Departments including mines, revenue, police, transport, and forest will work together during the drive.

The state government claims it follows a zero-tolerance policy against illegal mining. The campaign will address every stage of the illegal supply chain. Authorities aim to protect the fragile Aravalli ecosystem through strict and coordinated enforcement.
