Rajasthan Pharma Scam Exposed after an Ajmer-based pharmaceutical company reported a major international fraud. The director of Melisen Pharma Private Limited has accused a foreign agent of cheating the firm of 1.05 lakh euros. The complaint was lodged at the Christian Ganj police station in Ajmer.

According to police, company director Dinesh Marjani entered into a deal in 2023 with a Senegal-based agent. The agent promised to register 11 pharmaceutical products across seven African nations. These included Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, Congo, Brazzaville, Ivory Coast, and Senegal. Registration is mandatory for supplying medicines in these markets.

Marjani said the agent completed all paperwork and collected the full amount through bank transfers. However, not a single product received approval even after 18 months. When the company demanded a refund, the agent allegedly avoided calls and delayed responses.

Police said the cheated amount equals nearly ₹95–96 lakh, making it a serious economic offence. Investigators suspect an organised international network behind the fraud.

The case now involves scrutiny of bank transactions, emails, and documents. Police also face challenges because the accused resides abroad. Legal experts said authorities may need Interpol support and international legal cooperation. The investigation is currently underway.
