Rajasthan has decided to send 1,000 new police recruits to Madhya Pradesh for advanced training. The state aims to improve policing standards by exposing recruits to modern methods and updated criminal laws. Training will take place at the Tighra Police Training Centre in Gwalior, known for its specialised facilities and structured modules. The nine-month programme will cover cyber security, basic policing, physical fitness and methods to stop trafficking and organised crime.

Rajasthan DGP Rajeev Sharma finalised the plan during discussions with Madhya Pradesh police officials last month. ADG Rajababu Singh from Madhya Pradesh will supervise the training schedule and ensure practical, field-ready instruction for every batch.

The Rajasthan government will spend nearly ₹11.50 crore on the programme. Officials believe the move will close skill gaps and create a more efficient, technology-aware police force. They expect recruits to adapt faster to modern challenges as cybercrime and cross-border crime continue to grow.

With this decision, Rajasthan aims to strengthen law enforcement capacity and prepare its new police force for the demands of today’s policing environment.
