Rajasthan’s performance in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26 has disappointed fans and cricket experts alike. The team managed just one win in six matches and suffered five defeats, raising serious questions about team selection and administration.

Rajasthan began its campaign with a heavy 99-run loss against Madhya Pradesh. The batting unit collapsed under pressure, while bowlers failed to contain the opposition. The problems continued in the second match against Jharkhand, where Rajasthan lost by 73 runs. Once again, batters failed to build partnerships, and bowlers lacked consistency.

The third match against Tripura brought another setback. Rajasthan lost by 66 runs, marking their third consecutive defeat and denting team morale. Relief came briefly in the fourth match, where Rajasthan defeated Tamil Nadu by 10 runs. This remained the team’s only win in the tournament.

In the fifth match, Rajasthan faced Kerala and lost by two wickets. The team struggled in the closing overs and failed to handle pressure situations. The final match against Karnataka proved disastrous. Rajasthan lost by a massive 150-run margin, their biggest defeat in the tournament. Both batting and bowling units collapsed completely.

Following this poor run, allegations have emerged against the ad-hoc committee and selection panel. Critics claim that internal factionalism led to selections based on recommendations rather than performance.
