Rajasthan is witnessing a double weather assault as the state reels under severe cold while preparing for rainfall over the next 24 hours. Due to north-westerly winds, temperatures fluctuated sharply across several districts on Tuesday, especially in the Shekhawati region. Dense fog weakened sunlight, and cold winds intensified the chill during the day. Mount Abu reported frost formation on vehicles and rooftops, signalling a steep drop in night temperatures.

According to the Jaipur Weather Centre, Barmer recorded the highest maximum temperature at 29°C, while Sikar shivered at the lowest minimum of 6.5°C. Humidity levels ranged between 30% and 70% across the state. Ajmer (12.3°C), Alwar (8.5°C), Pilani (8.2°C), Churu (6.8°C), and Karauli (8.4°C) were among the coldest locations.

A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to activate within 48 hours, bringing cloud cover and light rainfall. On November 27, parts of Jodhpur, Udaipur, and Ajmer divisions may experience thundershowers. By November 28, light rain is likely in Udaipur, Ajmer, and Jaipur divisions, while the remaining regions are expected to stay dry.

Residents are advised to brace for colder days ahead as winter tightens its grip over Rajasthan.
