AAP leader Rajinder Gupta Rajya Sabha bypoll filing created political buzz in Punjab on Friday. He submitted his nomination for the Rajya Sabha seat vacated by Sanjeev Arora. Arora resigned after winning the Ludhiana (West) Assembly election in June.
Rajinder Gupta arrived with Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, AAP state chief Aman Arora, Industry Minister Sanjeev Arora, and Sangrur MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer. Their joint appearance showed the party’s unity and strong support for Gupta.
The Rajinder Gupta Rajya Sabha bypoll will take place on October 24. Gupta is the fourth candidate to file his papers. His entry has added more interest and competition to the contest.
AAP leaders said Gupta’s nomination highlights the party’s growing strength in Punjab. They believe his experience and loyalty will help AAP maintain its influence in national politics.
The bypoll result will also show how voters feel about AAP’s work under CM Bhagwant Mann’s leadership. Punjab will now watch closely as the race for this Upper House seat continues.
