Defence Minister Rajnath Singh urges armed forces to be ready for unconventional threats in the face of a turbulent global order and regional instability. Speaking on Tuesday (September 16, 2025), he highlighted the importance of preparing for invisible dangers such as information, ideological, ecological, and biological warfare.
Rajnath Singh said the evolving security landscape demands constant assessment and timely adaptation. He reminded the forces that modern threats are no longer confined to conventional battlefields but extend to cyberspace, narratives, and even environmental challenges.
The Defence Minister stressed that the armed forces must adopt innovative strategies and strengthen technological capabilities. He also urged closer cooperation between military, research institutions, and industries to develop advanced tools for defense preparedness.
Addressing the gathering, Singh noted that India’s security priorities require a comprehensive approach that includes vigilance, training, and modern equipment. He pointed out that readiness against unconventional threats will not only secure the nation but also project India as a responsible global power.
