Recruitments in Karnataka on Hold Pending High Court Orders, Says KEA
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has announced that thousands of government recruitments will remain on hold until further orders from the High Court. The decision comes amid ongoing legal scrutiny of various recruitment processes, leaving aspirants in uncertainty.
Meanwhile, North Karnataka witnessed protests in several districts, with job seekers expressing frustration over the prolonged delay in appointments. Yallappa Hegade, Convener of the Karnataka Job Seekers’ Agitation Committee, criticised the government for the current impasse, saying the situation has caused undue hardship to candidates who have invested time, effort, and resources preparing for these positions.
KEA officials clarified that the hold is temporary and is aimed at ensuring compliance with court directives and transparency in recruitment. Authorities urged aspirants to remain patient and assured that updates would be provided once the High Court delivers further instructions, emphasising that no appointments would proceed until legal clarity is achieved.
