Ahead of the previous elections, TDP State General Secretary Nara Lokesh undertook the Yuvagalam padayatra across Andhra Pradesh. During that period, TDP leaders documented the names of leaders who allegedly harassed them in a “Red Book.” At the time, party leaders openly warned that action would follow once the TDP came to power.
Meanwhile, the mention of the Red Book has now created political ripples. Minister Vasamsetti Subhash said former YSRCP minister Kodali Nani reacts nervously whenever the topic arises. While speaking to the media in Amaravati, Subhash strongly criticised Kodali Nani. He recalled that Nani had made offensive remarks against TDP leaders earlier to please former Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy.
However, Subhash alleged that the same leader now fears accountability. He dismissed YSRCP’s signature campaign against government decisions on medical colleges as a political drama. Instead, he advised the party to analyse why it secured only 11 seats in the 2024 elections.
Furthermore, Subhash accused the previous government of turning Visakhapatnam into a drug hub. In contrast, he stated that the present coalition government continues to focus on Visakhapatnam’s development. He added that Lokesh remains committed to long-term growth and governance reforms.
