Restrictions in Assembly as Hearing on MLA Disqualification Cases Set to Resume
The hearing on disqualification petitions filed against four MLAs is set to resume on Friday at the Telangana Legislative Assembly in Hyderabad. The petitions, pending before the Assembly Speaker, pertain to alleged violations of party discipline and anti-defection provisions. In anticipation of the proceedings, authorities have imposed restrictions on movement within the Assembly premises to maintain order and ensure smooth conduct. Only officials, petitioners, and authorized representatives will be allowed entry during the session. Security personnel have been deployed in and around the complex to prevent any untoward incidents. The outcome of the hearing is being closely watched in political circles, as it could impact the balance of power within the Assembly. The Speaker is expected to continue examining evidence and hearing arguments before delivering a decision in accordance with the provisions of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution.
