Revanth Govt Fears Local Polls, Says Etela Rajender

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri BJP MP Etela Rajender criticized the Revanth Reddy government for avoiding local body elections. He alleged that Congress is using BC reservations as an excuse to delay polls because it fears defeat.

Speaking at the BJP Social Media IT Workshop in Hyderabad, Rajender said that democracy works only when elections are held regularly, from village panchayats to the Assembly. He accused the Congress of violating the Constitution by obstructing the election process.

Rajender pointed out that development in villages—such as roads, crematoriums, anganwadis, panchayat offices, and farmer platforms—has been carried out with central government funds. He added that both the previous BRS government and the current Congress government wrongly claimed credit for these projects. He said central support made schemes like Smart City and rural development possible.

Calling on the public, Rajender urged voters to choose the BJP in the coming elections to continue real development. On social media, he said it works like a double-edged sword. It should expose lies and corruption but not be used for internal fights. He stressed that those who create strong content in fewer words are the real warriors.
