According to political discussions, the Revanth Reddy political master plan involves handing over the investigation into alleged irregularities in power agreements and plant construction during the previous BRS government to the Central Bureau of Investigation. The probe focuses on power deals with Chhattisgarh and projects like Yadadri and Bhadradri.
The Congress government earlier appointed the Justice Lokur Commission to examine these issues. If state agencies handled the investigation, the opposition could call it political revenge. By requesting a CBI probe, the government aims to avoid such criticism.
This move could put the BRS under pressure if the CBI starts the probe. If the agency delays action, Congress leaders may accuse the BJP-led Centre of protecting BRS leaders, intensifying the political battle in Telangana.
