Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that “power is the real currency of the economy” while speaking at Mumbai Climate Week. He highlighted the State’s ambitious growth plans and its focus on green energy.
Revanth Reddy explained that Telangana aims to grow its economy from $200 billion to $1 trillion by 2034 and further to $3 trillion by 2047. He outlined a three-zone development strategy centered around Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. The plan focuses on green-powered manufacturing, renewable energy, and sustainable industrial growth.
The Chief Minister said this approach will position Telangana as a “China plus 1” alternative for global businesses looking to diversify their manufacturing bases. He stressed that access to clean and reliable power is key to attracting investment and supporting economic growth.
Officials said the State will continue promoting renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, and climate-friendly policies to achieve these targets and ensure long-term sustainable development.
