In the Bihar 2025 election the key phrase proves true: the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) got the highest number of votes even though it won far fewer seats. The key phrase shows RJD achieved a 23 % vote share, while Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) managed 20.08 % and Janata Dal (United) (JDU) 19.25 %.
RJD secured about 1.15 crore votes. The BJP trailed by roughly 15 lakh votes. JDU received around 96.67 lakh votes.
Despite this, RJD won only 25 seats. The BJP grabbed 89 seats, and JDU 85 seats.
This result underlines the gap between vote-share and seat-share. The key phrase highlights how RJD topped the vote chart but lagged in seats. Analysts believe this may reshape coalition strategies in Bihar.
RJD now faces a challenge: convert its vote advantage into more seats in future polls if it aims to match the strength of the ruling alliance.
