RJD MLA Ritalal Yadav in Extortion Case

RJD MLA Ritalal Yadav accused of running extortion gang from builders in Patna

RJD MLA Ritalal Yadav has been accused of leading an extortion gang targeting builders. According to the chargesheet filed by researcher Kumar Abhinav, Ritalal Yadav, along with his brother Pinku Yadav, Chinku alias Shailendra Yadav, Shravan Yadav, and Sunil Mahajan, allegedly formed an organized group to demand money and threaten contractors.

The Patna police submitted the chargesheet in the Special Judicial Magistrate, PMLA Court, on Monday. It states that the gang intimidated builders and extorted money by forcing them to pay for contracts. This case was originally registered at Khagaul police station, where the in-charge confirmed the chargesheet filing.

The allegations suggest that the group used threats as a tool to control contracts and extract money from those in the construction business. Police sources claim that evidence collected during the investigation strongly links Ritalal Yadav and his associates to this extortion network.

The court proceedings are expected to determine the level of involvement of each accused member. The case has already drawn political attention in Bihar, as opposition leaders criticize the misuse of power by public representatives. Meanwhile, the police maintain that further investigations may uncover more details about the gang’s operations.
