TN Deputy CM Udhayanidhi Stalin, Actor Dhanush Pay Tributes to Late Comedian Robo Shankar

Robo Shankar death shocks Tamil cinema. Udhayanidhi Stalin and Dhanush pay tribute as family, fans mourn the comedian’s sudden demise.

The Tamil film industry plunged into grief on Thursday following the sudden demise of popular actor and comedian Robo Shankar. He was 46 and had been undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai for a complex abdominal condition.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and actor-producer Udhayanidhi Stalin visited the actor’s residence to pay tribute. In a social media post, he expressed deep sorrow, recalling Robo Shankar’s journey from stage performances to television and cinema. He praised the late actor for entertaining audiences with realistic humour and extended condolences to his family, colleagues, and fans.

Actor Dhanush also arrived at the residence to pay his last respects. He was visibly emotional and consoled the grieving family members. Several other film industry personalities have also paid homage and expressed their condolences.

Robo Shankar is survived by his wife Priyanka and daughter Indraja, who acted with Vijay in the blockbuster film Bigil. His body has been kept at his residence for the public to pay respects, and the last rites will be performed on Friday afternoon.

The actor’s sudden death has left fans and colleagues shocked, marking a huge loss for Tamil cinema and the comedy world.
