The awakening of Hindus in T.N. can resolve the ongoing Thirupparankundram issue, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said on Saturday. He made the remark while responding to a question from senior BJP leader H. Raja during a meeting in Tiruchi.
Bhagwat said the awakening of Hindus in T.N. at the local level is more important than national-level intervention. He stressed that awareness and active participation by the Hindu community can help find a solution. According to him, unity and understanding within the State can address the matter effectively.
The Thirupparankundram row has remained a sensitive issue for some time. It has drawn attention from religious groups and political parties in Tamil Nadu. Bhagwat’s comments came during discussions on wider cultural and social concerns affecting Hindus in the State.
BJP leaders welcomed his statement. They said it highlights the strength of grassroots action and community dialogue. Party leaders added that peaceful engagement is the best way to resolve sensitive issues.
Political observers believe the remark may shape public discussion in the coming weeks. They say the focus may now shift more towards local awareness and dialogue rather than external pressure.
