Police said the victim, a 63-year-old retired man, had recently received his pension benefits. His brother-in-law allegedly demanded a share of the money. The victim refused to give any cash, which led to a serious fight inside the house.
The argument grew worse during dinner. In anger, the accused picked up a cooking pan and hit the victim on the head. The man died on the spot due to the severe injury.
The accused fled soon after the attack. Police reached the village, sent the body for post-mortem, and started a search operation to arrest him.
