In the Samastipur money doubling case, Haryana Police and the Bihar Special Task Force carried out a joint raid in Samastipur district on Tuesday. The teams reached a village under the local police station area and searched the house of a key suspect linked to the alleged scam.
Officials said the accused promised people high returns by claiming he could double their money in a short time. Several victims later complained after losing large sums. Based on these complaints, police tracked the suspect to Samastipur and planned the operation.
During the raid, officers questioned family members and detained three people, including a woman, for interrogation. The team also recovered important documents and materials believed to be connected to the fraud. Police sealed parts of the house while the search was underway.
Sources said the case has links to other states, which led to Haryana Police joining hands with Bihar STF. The investigation team is now checking bank records, phone data, and possible connections with a wider network.
Police officials said strict action will follow if more evidence emerges. Further arrests are possible as the probe into the Samastipur money doubling case continues.
