In Bihar politics, Samrat Choudhary becomes CM with Nitish Kumar’s blessings, a move that leaders of the ruling alliance say will ensure continuity in governance. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary said the new government will follow the same development model introduced by Nitish Kumar.
Speaking at a press conference in Patna, Chaudhary said Nitish Kumar led Bihar for nearly two decades and earned strong public support because of his development policies. He said the new administration under Samrat Choudhary will continue those policies and programmes.
The Deputy CM also said the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government has a strong majority in the assembly and will easily prove its strength in the upcoming floor test. He added that the alliance remains united and confident.
According to Chaudhary, Nitish Kumar decided to move to the Rajya Sabha, which led to the formation of the new government. He said the current leadership will follow the governance path created during Nitish Kumar’s tenure while also introducing some new initiatives.
Leaders in the alliance believe the transition ensures stability in Bihar’s administration while maintaining the development agenda set in earlier years.
