The Samrat Choudhary NDA government swearing-in marked a historic moment in Bihar politics. BJP leader Samrat Choudhary took oath as the state’s Chief Minister in Patna, becoming the first BJP leader to hold the top post in Bihar.
During the Samrat Choudhary NDA government swearing-in, two senior JD(U) leaders—Bijendra Prasad Yadav and Vijay Kumar Choudhary—also took oath as Deputy Chief Ministers. The ceremony took place at Raj Bhavan and the Governor administered the oath.
The new NDA government started with a small cabinet during the ceremony. Leaders said the ministry may expand in the coming weeks as the alliance finalizes more names.
The swearing-in followed the resignation of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, which led to a major political change in Bihar’s leadership.
Samrat Choudhary said his government will focus on development, governance, and strong action against corruption in the state.
