In the upcoming Bihar Elections Sanjay Saraogi is aiming for his sixth consecutive victory from Darbhanga. A senior BJP leader and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Saraogi has been a strong figure in state politics for two decades. He started his political journey with the ABVP and first won the assembly election in 2005 by defeating Congress veteran Madan Mohan Jha. Since then, he has never lost the Darbhanga seat.
This year, the Bihar Elections Sanjay Saraogi campaign faces tougher competition. His opponents include Grand Alliance candidate Umesh Sahni, IPS officer RK Mishra, and Pushpam Priya of The Plurals Party. Despite the changing political scene, Saraogi enjoys strong backing from key NDA leaders like Amarnath Gami and Badri Purve.
Known for his administrative skills and consistent public connect, Saraogi’s journey from a ward councillor to a cabinet minister highlights his long-standing influence in Bihar politics. However, vote fragmentation could make this election a real challenge for him.
