Security forces seize Maoist cash in Abujmad forests during a major anti-Naxal operation in Chhattisgarh. The operation took place in the dense forests of Narayanpur district and led to the recovery of a large amount of money and weapons hidden by Maoist cadres.
Officials said security personnel found more than ₹1 crore in cash from several secret dumps during the search. The operation involved teams from the district police, District Reserve Guard, Indo-Tibetan Border Police, and Border Security Force.
Apart from cash, the forces recovered many weapons and explosive materials. These included AK-47 rifles, SLR rifles, cartridges, detonators, and communication equipment. Authorities believe Maoists hid these items in the forest earlier to use in future attacks.
Police described the recovery as a major success in the fight against Maoist activities in the region. Officials said similar operations will continue to track down hidden weapons and funds.
