A serious teacher beats student incident from Samastipur, Bihar, has created strong public anger. The case involves Divyanshu Raj, a Class 7 student. His mother, Jyoti Kumari, says the teacher beats student during the third bell and hit her son with a stick. She claims the blow broke his left hand. She filed complaints with the DM, DEO, SDO, and local police.
A viral video shows Jyoti holding her son’s plastered hand and describing his pain. The clip also includes an X-ray report. She says teachers supported the accused instead of helping her child.
The accused teacher, Anurag, denies the assault. He says two girls reported harassment by two boys, including Divyanshu. After speaking to them, he gave the boys a light cane punishment. He says he never hit anyone hard enough to cause a fracture. The stress, he says, has affected his health, and he is now in the hospital.
The school headmaster supports his version. He says the boy stayed in class until the final bell. According to him, a child with a broken arm could not continue school like a normal student. He calls the family’s allegations false.
