Shooter Badal killed in police encounter on Thursday, bringing a quick end to the search for the man who murdered RSS worker Naveen. The incident took place when a Ferozepur police team reached the area to recover weapons linked to the case. As officers approached the hideout, Badal’s associates fired at them in an attempt to help him escape. The team responded immediately, leading to an intense exchange of gunfire.
During the encounter, Badal suffered fatal injuries. A police constable also received a bullet injury, but his condition remains stable, officials said. The DIG added that the police will continue to track down the remaining associates involved in the RSS worker’s killing.
Officers recovered several crucial leads from the site and intensified operations in nearby areas to prevent any further attempts by the gang to regroup. Police officials said the action reflects their commitment to maintaining law and order and ensuring swift justice for victims of targeted killings.
