Siddaramaiah Affirms Strong Ties with Shivakumar Ahead of 2028 Polls
Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has reiterated that he and Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will “always remain brothers” and continue working together as the Congress prepares for the 2028 Karnataka Assembly elections. His remarks came after a meeting at Shivakumar’s residence, widely viewed as a gesture aimed at projecting unity within the party’s leadership.
Though described officially as a courtesy call, the visit is being interpreted as a strategic move that places Shivakumar firmly at the centre of the State’s political landscape. The meeting also helped quell speculation about internal differences between the two leaders, who have played key roles in Congress’ governance and electoral strategies.
Siddaramaiah stressed that both leaders share a common vision for the State’s development and party strengthening. The display of camaraderie is expected to boost party morale and signal a united front as Congress gears up for future political challenges in Karnataka
