Siddaramaiah Seeks Clarity from Congress on Karnataka CM Post
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has said that the Congress high command must put a complete end to the confusion surrounding a possible change in the state’s leadership. His remarks come amid growing speculation within the party over whether he will continue in the post or whether Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will be elevated.
According to party sources, Siddaramaiah is pushing for a reshuffle of his Cabinet to strengthen governance and bring in new faces. Shivakumar, however, is reportedly insisting that the leadership question be settled first before any Cabinet changes are made. This internal disagreement has led to uncertainty within the state unit.
Siddaramaiah maintained that only the party’s central leadership can take a final call on the matter and urged them to issue clear directions to avoid further speculation. Party insiders believe upcoming meetings in Delhi may determine the future leadership arrangement in Karnataka.
