The Sidhu Moosewala murder case created an emotional scene in Mansa court on Friday. Balkaur Singh, father of the late singer, urged that all accused be produced in person at the next hearing. Since his eyesight is weak, he explained that he cannot recognize them clearly on the video screen. Therefore, he wants to see his son’s killers with his own eyes.
As a result, the court took his plea seriously and directed jail authorities to present all accused physically on September 26. Earlier, the accused joined only through video conferencing. Consequently, this decision gave fresh hope to Moosewala’s family and supporters present inside the court.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, in Mansa. Later, gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar claimed responsibility for the murder. Moreover, more than 30 accused are facing trial, and the case has continued for nearly three years.
Since then, Balkaur Singh has attended hearings regularly to demand justice. He has often said that peace will come only after punishment for the killers. Now, the new court order offers him a stronger belief that the trial will proceed more transparently and fairly.
