State MLA Tatiparthi Chandrasekhar raised serious concerns regarding the Simhachalam temple theft that occurred on September 1. He alleged that temple employee Ramana and outsourced worker Suresh were caught stealing Rs. 55,000. The MLA questioned why the government has not acted decisively on the issue. He criticized authorities for highlighting only one case while ignoring others for political purposes.
Chandrasekhar compared the Simhachalam hundi theft with the Tirumala Parakamani case. He said both incidents involved sacred donations and demanded consistent treatment. The MLA highlighted that former CM YS Jagan and ex-TTD chairman YV Subba Reddy faced baseless accusations in the Parakamani case. He emphasized that false allegations should not target Simhachalam temple officials.
He also questioned why the police have not arrested the temple staff involved in the theft. Chandrasekhar noted that the accused were sent home with notices under Section 41A. He urged the government to ensure devotees’ donations reach Lord Varaha Swamy and not private individuals.
The MLA demanded transparency and accountability from the authorities. He insisted that all temple cases be investigated thoroughly and that government inaction should not create doubts among devotees. Chandrasekhar emphasized that the public expects integrity in handling all temple-related matters.
