Halavath Bhaskar, a Singareni worker, was severely injured in a road accident on Saturday while traveling to work at the Kondapur underground mine. The Singareni worker road accident injury occurred when Bhaskar’s scooter collided with a tipper near the Singareni main checkpoint. The tipper had stopped due to a flat tire. Fellow workers quickly took Bhaskar to the area hospital. After the initial treatment, doctors transferred him to the Main Hospital in Khammam. He was later moved to Kamineeni Hospital in Hyderabad for further care.
V. Krishnamraju, the Vice President of the Area Representative Association (INTUC), and other committee leaders visited Bhaskar. They reassured his family and promised to coordinate with Singareni management to ensure better treatment. The workers emphasized the importance of wearing helmets. Bhaskar’s helmet helped reduce the severity of the injury. Witnesses confirmed that without the helmet, the injury could have been more severe.
The workers urged Singareni management to improve vehicle safety, especially when vehicles need maintenance. They also stressed the need for better road safety measures to protect all workers. This Singareni worker road accident injury highlights the importance of safety while commuting to work.
