Union Home Minister Amit Shah announced that Bihar elections will be held in a single phase next time. Speaking in Nalanda, he said the Nitish Kumar–Narendra Modi team improved Bihar’s law and order.
Shah said that during Lalu and Rabri’s rule, elections took place in six phases due to poor security. The NDA government later reduced it to three phases. This time, polling will happen on November 6 and 12 in two phases.
He added that if the NDA returns to power, the next Bihar elections will be held in one phase. Shah claimed that the Modi–Nitish team ended Naxalism in Bihar. Voting in Gaya, Aurangabad, and Shahabad will now continue till 5 PM instead of 3 PM.
