Singrauli: In a heartfelt interaction at the Excellence School in Baidhan, Singrauli Collector Gaurav Benal engaged with students and encouraged them to speak openly. During the session, he asked a girl student what she wanted to become when she grows up. The student hesitantly replied, “I want power… so that I no longer regret being a girl and can support my family.”

Her answer left the Collector momentarily stunned. He then responded with a powerful message: “Being a girl is never a matter of regret; it is a matter of pride. Strength, sensitivity, and hard work—these qualities come naturally to girls. Power comes from education and confidence, not from gender.”

His words drew applause from the entire classroom.

Collector Benal also shared essential advice with the students, emphasizing that consistent effort, discipline, and clarity of goals are the keys to success. He encouraged them to balance academics, sports, and creative activities, reminding them that every child is unique and capable.

Teachers praised the Collector’s interaction, calling it inspiring and impactful for shaping young minds.
