The Hyderabad government plans to introduce smart parking facilities at 14 key locations across the city to reduce traffic congestion and make parking easier for citizens.
Officials said the new facilities will use modern technology to manage parking spaces efficiently. Drivers will be able to check available slots in real time through mobile apps and electronic display boards. Payment for parking can be made digitally, reducing the need for cash transactions.
The project will also include automated entry and exit systems, surveillance cameras, and proper lighting to ensure safety. Authorities hope that smart parking will save time for drivers, improve traffic flow, and reduce road-side parking problems in busy areas.
Officials said construction will begin soon, and citizens are requested to cooperate during the setup. The initiative is part of Hyderabad’s broader plan to become a modern and smart city with improved urban infrastructure.
