In a sharp political attack, the Sonia Gandhi Super Prime Minister claim took centre stage at a press briefing in Patna on Wednesday. BJP leader Nitin Nabin accused the Nehru-Gandhi family of misusing power. He said the Sonia Gandhi Super Prime Minister role weakened democratic systems during the UPA government.
Nabin alleged that Sonia Gandhi ran a parallel power centre from 2004 to 2014. He claimed she controlled major decisions despite not holding the Prime Minister’s post. He also questioned the functioning of the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation and raised concerns over its past funding sources.
The BJP leader further targeted Rahul Gandhi. He claimed Rahul made several foreign trips that were not properly disclosed. Nabin linked these issues to what he called a history of weak foreign policy decisions under earlier Congress governments.
The Congress party has not yet responded to these fresh allegations.
