Giani Raghbir Singh Spain meeting marked an important diplomatic engagement for the global Sikh community. Sri Harmandir Sahib Head Granthi Giani Raghbir Singh met Spain’s Justice, Religious Affairs, and Democratic Memory Minister Ramon Espadaler in Spain.
The meeting took place at the minister’s office on a special invitation from the Spanish government. Giani Raghbir Singh raised key concerns faced by Sikhs living in different countries. He spoke about religious freedom, identity issues, and the right to wear the turban and Sikh articles of faith. He also highlighted challenges related to employment and social life.
Giani Raghbir Singh explained that these problems affect Sikhs across several nations. He urged governments to address such matters with sensitivity and fairness. The discussion focused on protecting democratic values and minority rights.
Minister Ramon Espadaler listened carefully to the concerns. He assured that issues faced by Sikhs in Spain would receive priority attention. He said Spain respects religious freedom and believes in equality for all communities.
During the Giani Raghbir Singh Spain meeting, the Head Granthi invited the minister to visit Sri Harmandir Sahib. He described the shrine as a global symbol of peace and service. Espadaler accepted the invitation and expressed interest in visiting India.
The meeting strengthened international dialogue on Sikh rights.
