New Delhi/Ahmedabad: The *Supreme Court of India* has issued a notice to the *Central Government* regarding the preliminary report of the *Air Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB)* on the recent *Air India plane crash* in Ahmedabad.
The apex court observed that it is inappropriate to spread speculative reports suggesting that the pilots might have turned off the fuel control switches before the investigation is completed. The bench stressed that making premature claims about pilot error reflects a lack of responsibility and could mislead the public.
The notice was issued while hearing petitions seeking an *independent investigation* into the crash to ensure transparency and accountability. The Supreme Court directed the Centre to file its response and clarify the status of the ongoing inquiry. The court also emphasized that conclusions should be based on verified findings rather than assumptions, ensuring fairness to the pilots and victims involved.
