The cultural evening of Pravasi Rajasthani Day 2025 turned into a magical celebration of Rajasthan’s heritage as traditional dance and music lit up the JECC premises in Jaipur. Padma Shri Gulabo Sapera and her team delivered a breathtaking Kalbelia dance that revived the fragrance of native soil and the centuries-old folk traditions in the hearts of Rajasthanis living across the globe. Indian Idol fame Piyush Panwar also won applause with his soulful performances.
The evening showcased Rajasthan’s rich folk legacy through the energetic beats of Gair, the vibrant costumes and graceful movements of Ghoomar, and the rhythmic charm of Kalbelia that left the audience spellbound. Lok Sabha Speaker, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister Bhupender Yadav, and several other central ministers attended the event. Earlier, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma urged overseas Rajasthanis to visit their homeland at least twice a year to keep their roots and cultural identity alive.
