Suspected Pakistan Drones Spotted Along LoC, IB; Search Operations Launched in J&K
Suspected Pakistan-origin drones were sighted hovering over several areas along the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border (IB) in Jammu and Kashmir, prompting security forces to launch extensive search operations in three districts, officials said. The flying objects were observed late at night and were seen entering Indian airspace from the Pakistan side before returning after hovering for a few minutes.
Security agencies immediately alerted ground forces, and coordinated search operations were launched involving the Army, police, and other security units to trace any possible payloads or infiltration attempts. Officials said no arms, explosives, or suspicious materials had been recovered so far.
The sightings have heightened security concerns in the border areas, with surveillance and patrolling intensified as a precautionary measure. Authorities are analysing radar inputs and drone activity patterns to determine the intent behind the intrusion. Officials reiterated that strict vigilance is being maintained to safeguard border security and prevent any threats to civilian areas or critical installations.
