ICC.tv and official social media platforms have reported record-breaking numbers across the globe.
According to the International Cricket Council, ICC.tv has already crossed the total users and watch time of the entire 2024 event. Unique users have increased by 28 percent. Total viewing time has grown by 56 percent at this stage. Social media platforms have recorded over 10 billion video views, with numbers expected to cross 16 billion soon.
Fans are watching longer portions of matches than before. Average watch time per user has reached 58 minutes, compared to 47 minutes in 2024. Multi-language feeds have boosted engagement. Nearly half of the total playtime has come from non-English streams, including Hindi, Urdu, Nepali, Japanese, and Bahasa Indonesia.
Non-traditional markets have shown massive growth. Germany recorded a 150 percent rise in users. Italy saw a 136 percent increase. Japan and South Korea reported over 100 percent growth. These figures highlight the ICC’s expanding global reach.
